Dragon Hatchling

Egg with reverse-colored head, tail and wings of a baby dragon peeking out.

Folding tips

  • Step 11: The description and diagram is not entirely clear; simply fold the top edge of the paper to the lowest quarter created in step 10, and the bottom edge of the paper to the highest quarter created at step 10.
  • For the collapse at step 16 and 17, see this image for reference. Note that after the second step, the model is rotated 90 degrees.
  • Step 18: note the hidden flap created at step 4 – 6 is inside the bottom right flap. At step 19, it is inside the top left flap.
  • At step 22, the description should be regarding narrowing the head, not the tail. The tail was already narrowed in step 21.
  • Step 31: Fold the pleat underneath the wing tips last folded at step 7 and 8, inside the model.

Paper & size

When folded from a 20cm square, the model ends up 7.5cm long, 8cm in height and about 5cm wide.
